Adventurous lanes and paths are immediately accessible from the cottage and the beautiful National Trust land at Golden Cap is within walking distance. Morcombelake has a very good farm shop, post office and stores, tea rooms, bakery and the village of Chideock, with two very good pubs is within easy reach by car. Charmouth has a small selection of shops and a post office as well as pubs, cafes and restaurants. The Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre on the seafront provides a wealth of information about local geology, rock pooling and fossil collecting. There is also a large park, with a well-equipped children's playground nearby. A great location for walkers; the South West Coast footpath and a network of inland footpaths allow visitors to explore the stunning West Dorset coast and countryside.
