Owl Cottage is one of the recently converted 17th century stone barns at Champernhayes, an historic farm on the lovely Dorset and Devon border. It’s the ideal, comfortable base to explore one of the most beautiful and fascinating stretches of the English coastline.
Great news if you just want to get away for a long weekend or short break. Owl Cottage accepts bookings for short breaks. So if you fancy a few days in Dorset to recharge your batteries then this cottage is well worth consideration.

Owl Cottage is an open-plan property, situated facing a central courtyard at Champernhayes Farm. Inside, you will find a traditional style kitchen with dining area, as well as a sitting room complete with coal burning stove, ideal for creating a cosy atmosphere for a relaxing evening. On the same site we also offer Blackbird Cottage, Lark Cottage and Swallow Cottage.
The living area is dual aspect, creating a light and airy feel. The two bedrooms each have an en-suite bathroom, so you have all the space you need to holiday in comfort. With its own enclosed garden, Owl Cottage is the ideal home to return to after a day exploring the footpaths and walks throughout the beautiful surrounding landscape. Located within close reach of Charmouth and Lyme Regis, this property is perfect for fossil hunters and those wishing to explore the coast and countryside.
During your stay at Owl Cottage, you are welcome to use the heated swimming pool and hot tub (private slots bookable). There is also a selection of DVDs, books and board games in the games building to enjoy.
Additional Information
Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge per dog). Dogs to be kept on leads please due to sheep or guests who are wary of dogs.
Travel cot, highchair and stair gate available on request. Please bring your own cot linens.
Pool area is accessed by a PIN coded door for security and is time-slot booked for private use. Please provide your own pool towels and supervise children at all times. Please note that the swimming pool and spa is not currently available due to COVID-19 policies.

Speed/service may vary depending on the package obtained by the owner which is provided to guests free of charge.
