Formerly a butcher's shop, then the village post office, Old Posting dates back to the Georgian/Victorian era. Now totally refurbished, this charming character property has been transformed into a spacious and relaxing coastal home set right in the heart of Brancaster Staithe, a village popular with sailors, walkers and birdwatchers around the year. Just a five minute walk from the sea, staithe, coastal path, shopping, tennis courts and two great pubs, which serve fabulous local food. What more could you want?
The ground floor has been extended, and walls knocked down, to create a wonderful light and airy semi-open plan living space. A smart, contemporary fitted kitchen opens to the dining and sitting areas which are divided by a chimney breast featuring a double-sided wood burning stove. The L-shaped sitting area is a lovely relaxing bright room with french doors opening to the south facing patio and garden. A ground floor en-suite bedroom with a versatile super-king/twin zip-and-link bed can be set up to suit your party's needs. On entering the front door there is a handy 'boot room' with spacious utility and a generous shower room with large walk-in shower - perfect for when you come back from the beach and need to clean up sandy bodies and toes. From the rear hallway, stairs (wide, steep and straight, with handrail) lead to the first floor where you will find three further delightful bedrooms (two doubles and a twin), and two bathrooms, one of which is an en-suite shower room.
There are large, private gardens to the back of the cottage with access to the village tennis courts from the top of the garden, so don't forget to pack your rackets if you like to play.
