St. Brychan (pronounced St. Brecon) is an enchanting ex-composers house which has been extensively renovated, yet still retains its charm and character but now with the benefit of modern bathrooms and kitchen, spacious en-suite bedrooms and a delightful balcony. This historic and characterful property provides bewitching comfort and a great family getaway, including a grand piano and a library wall of books in the lounge.
The area in which St Brychan and its magnificent rambling grounds sits, is on the edge of the pathway that leads to &lsquost. Nectans; 60 ft waterfall, which is named after one of King Brychans; 24 children, it has been a shrine for pilgrims since the early 6th century, a delightful wooded walk directly from the house will take you there, plus a cafe to greet you.
The sheltered private grounds are fascinating, with rare and beautiful plants, a lawn for picnics or playing croquet, plus a summer house area with picnic bench, and a BBQ stand
There are many paths taking you around this garden including a high paddock with views over the sea.
The location is ideally situated, just inland from the exciting Rocky Valley, and a mere 1.5 miles from the historic village of Tintagel, where myths and legends have been made, and the same distance in the other direction from the exciting harbour village of Boscastle.
The beach at ‘Bossiney Cove; is just over a mile away with is sandy bay and rocky shoreline, this cove can be accessed via a glorious walk through woods and farmland. Crackington Haven and Widemouth surfing bay are all within a short drive away.
St. Brychan is a spellbinding hideaway and the location is excellent for exploring this stunning coast of Cornwall.
