The Little House, a charming Grade 2 listed thatched cottage is tucked away up a quiet lane in the pretty South Devon village of Stokenham, close to the sea, the coastal path and surrounded by some delightful countryside. The village has a couple of excellent pubs, a great nearby farm shop and Torcross beach is a pleasant walk or short drive away.The Cottage is bigger than its name implies, perfect for couples, friends or smaller families. A cosy living room with beams and inglenook fireplace with electric effect log burner and shuttered windows that look out onto the enclosed front patio. There's a well equipped kitchen and a spiral staircase winds up to two comfortable, pretty bedrooms with sea glimpses from the twin room. The village of Stokenham sits on the Kingsbridge to Dartmouth coastal road, offering great access for those keen to get out and explore the area. The village itself has an excellent pub, and just half a mile away is Stokeley Farm Shop and cafe, handy for picking up fresh bread and a newspaper, great for breakfast and lunch, and and the South Hams brewerys Tap House hosts live music and themed evenings in the summer. Pretty walks around the surrounding countryside, to Brooking Woods or Torcross to enjoy the beach are all around. Salcombe is just 11 miles away, and can also be accessed on the foot ferry from the beaches at East Portlemouth. Dartmoor is 16 miles away and there are nearby attractions such as Woodlands leisure park for all the family to enjoy. Stokenham is a super village for your South Devon holiday.
