Bay Tree Cottage is a beautiful thatched and stone property with generous and flexible accommodation for up to eight guests, located in the popular Dorset village of Marnhull.

This charming, thatched cottage boasts generous accommodation including an open-plan sitting and dining room with exposed beams and an open fire. Additional seating and a small dining area is provided in the sunny conservatory which enjoys views of the pretty garden. The spacious kitchen benefits from both an Aga and an electric cooker, with a small breakfast seating area. Leading from the kitchen is the cosy snug, with its wood burning stove, creating the perfect place to relax with a good book.
On the first floor are two king-size bedrooms and a double bedroom, on the second floor is a twin bedroom. All four bedrooms enjoy wonderful south facing views.
The village of Marnhull is the largest village in Dorset and was named 'Marlot' in Thomas Hardy’s Tess of the D’Urbervilles. Lying in the Blackmore Vale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Marnhull is surrounded by wonderful countryside and well served by local shops along with two village pubs, both within walking distance of the cottage.
Sturminster Newton is close by and the popular towns of Shaftesbury, Sherborne, Blandford and Dorchester are all within easy reach. With the Jurassic Coast less than an hour's drive away, Bay Tree Cottage is the perfect choice for a family holiday.
