Formerly the studio of Victorian Artist Creswell Hartley Desmond and his sister Phoebe, who carved the Lectern in Boldre Church, designed by Creswell. The middle of the north window at the church is dedicated to them.

The studio has a log-burner stove, perfect for chilly evenings, a spacious double bedroom, and visitors have the use of the mature gardens of around half an acre. Furthermore, children are welcome to use the outdoor toys and games available. Deer are sometimes seen in the garden which overlooks a meadow and the unspoilt upper reaches of Lymington River. Open forest and a couple of excellent local pubs are within walking distance of this welcoming bolt-hole.
