FIRST FLOOR
The cottage has wide flight of stairs - unusual in period cottages - with an old lifeboat oar forming the handrail. At the top of the stairs is a small library of books for guests to enjoy.
This charming cottage has three pretty bedrooms. The first is a master bedroom with an original, ornamental fireplace, chandelier and a 4'6" brass bed with a deep mattress for extra comfort. An antique chest of drawers and an antique 'gentleman's wardrobe' provide plenty of storage.
A second double bedroom has a further double bed with floor to ceiling cupboards providing lots of storage, exposed floorboards and a cast iron fireplace (again, it's ornamental) with lovely sash windows to Sunnyside and beyond.
The third bedroom is a family bedroom with a triple bunk bed - the base bed is a 4' small double bed and the top bunk is a full size 3' single bed. This bedroom also has wonderful wooden floorboards and original timer shutters at the windows.
A lovely house bathroom brings together period and modern styling, with exposed stone stone walls and original wood panelling alongside a contemporary bathroom suite including a bath with a shower, WC and hand wash basin with beautiful blue-green Metro tiles.
OUTSIDE
To the side of the cottage are stone steps that lead to the outside space; this comprises a small clifftop garden with a bench and BBQ - perfect to enjoy a chilled glass of wine or even your morning coffee, as you plan your day. Through a white picket gate is an open space with fantastic sea views - why not take pre-dinner drinks and nibbles there and relax, taking in the glorious view?
