Spacious and light, Downbridge Lodge has been beautifully constructed in 2020 as a single-storey, barn style holiday home for four guests.
The living areas in this charming property are open-plan with light and airy vaulted ceilings, mood lighting and a cosy wood burning stove. There is a large dining area with seating for six guests along with a contemporary kitchen with granite worktops. Downbridge Lodge benefits from two en-suite bathrooms, a separate wet room, accessible doorways and bi-fold doors which lead onto the large stone terrace. Both bedrooms provide flexible accommodation with zip and link beds which can be configured as either 6’ super-king size or twin single beds, equally ideal for families and friends looking to holiday in this delightful area.
Outside, a fire pit and barbecue are provided and you can dine al-fresco in all weathers, thanks to the illuminated covered seating area, or just sit back and admire the stunning countryside views. There is a secure shed which has plenty of space if you wish to bring your bicycles along.
A short walk away, via a public footpath to the rear of the property, is the pretty and historic village of Hoxne. Here you will find The Swann Inn, serving delicious meals and a wonderful selection of fine wines and real ales. The village also benefits from a shop, café, delicatessen, church and post office.
