4 Coastguard Cottages is a delightfully converted hideaway built around 1850 and, as the name suggests, belonged to the Coastguard Service who formed in 1822 to try and prevent smuggling. Number 4 belonged to the ship's skipper. It has been lovingly renovated to add modern features, yet retains the cottage's original charm. Decorated with whitewashed walls and clean lines, there is a light, spacious feel throughout. Warm fabrics add the luxurious touch, and the artwork comes from local artists. Theres a spacious living area, modern kitchen, a childrens den, 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms and outside a suntrap of a terrace with amazing views of the river. Helford Passage nestles on the banks of the beautiful river Helford, with a sandy beach and direct access to the South West Coastal Path. Theres plenty to do on site including hire of kayaks or paddle boards to get you out on the water, or theres the heated outdoor swimming pool (open from May 1st until the end of September). The Ferryboat Inn specialises in seafood dishes and holds regular music and quiz nights. The local ferry can take you across to pretty Helford village where you can meander along the shore to explore Daphne Du Mauriers Fishermans Creek. Alternatively relax and enjoy good food at the welcoming Shipwrights Arms in Helford or venture further afield to historic and bustling Falmouth, experience rugged Lands End or the gentle gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan. All the traditional attractions of a Cornish Holiday such as nearby fishing trips, golf, cycling, horse-riding, seaside fish and chips, coastal walks, art galleries and stunning beaches make this a perfect base for couples or families all year round.

Breakfast bar with stools separate the living area from the kitchen, which is very well equipped with ceramic hob, integrated oven, fridge, freezer and wine cooler, Nespresso, dishwasher, washer and dryer and microwave. Passage to rear childrens den with sofa, beanbags and TV. Ground floor shower room with electric shower, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail. First floor. Master bedroom 1 with 5ft double bed and views of the river. Bedroom 2 with twin 3 ft single beds.
