Escape to Park Cottage; a laid back, luxury self-catering cottage on a beautiful private estate. Set in glorious grounds and wonderfully secluded, this stylish rustic retreat is sublimely positioned amidst pretty woodland and parkland and yet is within easy reach of North Norfolk’s best beaches.
Once the gamekeeper’s cottage, this pretty as a picture Norfolk Hideaway is tucked away on the Fring Estate and has now been transformed into a luxury self-catering cottage with modern and light interiors.
The traditional carrstone wall exterior conceals the modern features inside. With stripped floor boards, this property is honest yet welcoming with lots of light and offers a spacious master super-king bedroom, king-size bedroom and a twin with two full-size singles, all dressed with crisp white linens. With two bathrooms; a family bathroom upstairs and a shower room downstairs, this property would be perfect for a couple, small group of friends wanting complete seclusion; or a family wanting to enjoy country life, yet still be in easy reach of the coast for saltwater adventures.
Park Cottage’s private surroundings are perfect for relaxing and unwinding and dining al fresco too, so if the weather is glorious then head outside. On cooler evenings, light the open fire and read a book or watch Sky TV. Children (and adults-alike) will love the games room (with table tennis table) adjacent to the cottage, perfect when the days are not so sunny.
The estate provides the facility to hire up to 6 bicycles (adults and children's bikes available), so you can explore the expansive grounds on two wheels. Cycle routes will be supplied in the cottage. Guests can use the footpaths and cycle paths within the estate during their stay. The tennis court and swimming pool are open to guests from 1st May - 30th September (10am - 4pm).
When you're not on foot or cycling the quiet lanes, drive to the beaches at Old Hunstanton, Brancaster or Wells. For the more adventurous, head to Hunstanton Water Sports or discover the wildlife at Pensthorpe, Snettisham Park Farm or the RSPB reserves at Titchwell or Snettisham.
Park Cottage can also be booked in conjunction with Gardener’s Cottage for larger parties. Together they are called Cottages in the Walled Gardens.
Plus there is also a romantic Little Potting Shed set into the Walled Garden which offers a romantic hideaway setting, perfect for lovebirds wanting quiet time together.

The parkland outside the walled garden and behind fences is private.
Bike rental is available by arrangement with the owner and offers you a great option for exploring the local area both on road or trail. With mountain bikes and road bikes to choose from as well as children’s bikes and trailers this is a great opportunity not to have to pack and bring them with you. Details of how to pre-book your bikes will be contained in the arrival guide.
Up to three well behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge).
