Woodland Retreat Shepherd's Hut lies nestled in the wonderful rural Suffolk countryside of the Alde Valley in an area known as the High Suffolk Plains. A short 15 minute drive away is Framlingham where you will find a local supermarket, farm shop, newsagents and several cafés. The historic market town is home to the Framlingham Castle which dates back to the 12th century. Boasting Ed Sheeran as one of its more famous offspring, the town is perfect for a stroll and lunch with a Town Trail marking all the primary sites of historic interest. The stunning Suffolk coastline can be reached easily by car in under 40 minutes’ and the seaside destinations of Southwold, Aldeburgh and Orford should be high on your list of places to visit.
