More about Appletree Barn (B)

WOW! Why not choose to holiday at one of North Norfolk’s most spectacular houses which even comes with its own look-out? Here you can while away the hours watching the day dawn and sun set over the spectacular coastline at Brancaster in an unrivalled position, right on the North Norfolk coast path.

For those of you already in the know, there’s something very wonderful and calming about the unspoilt coast of North Norfolk. Nowhere exemplifies this feeling more than Appletree Barn a stunningly beautiful, four-bedroom property that stretches along the coast path and overlooks the marsh across to the beach and sea at Brancaster,

Designed as a holiday home by Col Jack Lesley and his wife, Margo, back in 1925, it was originally known as Appletree Cottage. After the Second World War the house became their permanent residence and they took time to landscape the beautiful south facing gardens into what at the time was described as ‘a Riviera garden in Norfolk’. To this day the gardens still retain much of that elegance of the 1920’s.

The folly which is now known as Appletree Barn was previously used as an elaborate party and entertaining room as an annexe to the main house, Appletree House. Although its party days are over, it now offers four fantastic bedrooms on the ground floor, two of which have en-suite bathrooms and a stunning upstairs living area including an open plan kitchen with large dormer window offering spectacular views across the salt marshes towards the beach and beyond.

In addition, there is a fabulous look-out tower which provides the most incredible views out to sea. There grounds are beautiful front to the back and front of the property.

The gardens to the left are for the exclusive use of Appletree Barn.
