Just 200 metres up from the glorious sandy beaches of Bigbury, is Tamarisk, an immaculately presented, single level property, easily accessible and enjoying a detached plot with magnificent panoramic views of the sea and Burgh Island. Set in the centre of Bigbury on Sea, in its own landscaped gardens with terraces on differing undulating levels, its a perfect place to enjoy peace and tranquility while sitting out on the patio or relaxing in the large and airy sunroom with a gin and tonic. Inside it is bright, spacious and smart with a fresh contemporary theme throughout. Beautifully presented by thoughtful attentive owners, with quality fittings, excellent quality comfortable beds and stylish soft furnishings, every home comfort has been provided to ensure guests enjoy a memorable and comfortable stay. Burgh Island, famously a former retreat of Agatha Christie and Noel Coward, more recently the setting for Lovejoy and many magazine photoshoots also boasts a fabulously quirky hostelry, the Pilchard Inn, steeped in history with tales of smuggling, which opens to the public for lunches and drinks. Reached on foot at low tide along a stretch of golden sands, or at times by the unique Sea Tractor,across the the gorgeous beaches of Bigbury on Sea which stretch all the way to the Avon estuary. This part of the coast has been a long standing favourite destination for windsurfers, kitesurfers, with Surf School and Hire available from the beach for all watersports enthusiasts; the perfect destination for families who want to enjoy their holiday having fun on the beach and those who enjoy the bracing beauty of coastal walks at any time of the year.
