Painswick Rococo Garden is set in a hidden Cotswold valley and dates from Georgian times. It allows you to step back into the sensual early 18th century, when gardens were becoming theatrical and romantic backdrops for entertaining guests. Home owners sought to visually surprise their visitors with architecture and vistas rather than the horticultural unusual. Our restaurant serves a delicious range of homemade cakes and light meals using products grown here or from local producers. It makes the perfect stopping point even if you haven’t time to enjoy the Garden on this visit and is popular with locals. We are open from 10th January to 31st October, daily from 11.00 to 17.00 During August and early September we are delighted to welcome artists from the UK and overseas to our annual Art in the Garden exhibition. A wonderful opportunity to display the modern in a historic and natural setting. The Garden is situated just half a mile outside the beautiful village of Painswick. We also offer electric assist bikes for hire for those wishing to explore the local area. |
