From the North;
follow signs for Nantes and Bordeaux.
As you approach Nantes, join the large ring road (peripherique).
*Exit the Peripherique south of Nantes, joining the A801 motorway (blue signs) signposted for Bordeaux and La Rochelle.
After approx. 5kms you will exit the motorway at junction 1, direction La Roche-sur-Yon (D178 green signs).
At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit direction Challans (well signposted). After a few kilometres the D178 turns into the D117.
As you approach Machecoul take the 3rd exit off the roundabout (D95) still following for Challans.
Upon arrival in Challans, turn left at the first roundabout in direction of Challans Centre.
Then pick up signs for St Gilles Croix de Vie and St Hilaire de Riez over several roundabouts and onto the D69 to Soullans.
Continue through Soullans on the D69 for 5km until you come to Le Pissot roundabout, take the third exit signed St Hilaire.
Half a mile further on turn left in the direction Notre Dame de Riez/Commequiers.
The campsite is clearly signposted off this road, 100m on your left.

From the South; from St Gilles on the D38 follow signs to St-Jean-de-Monts and St Hilaire de Riez until you go over a level crossing and reach a large roundabout.
Take the exit in the direction of Le Pissot and then the second turn on the right, signposted Notre Dame de Riez.
The campsite is clearly signposted off this road.

From Nantes Airport; follow signs for Peripherique Sud to join the Nantes ring road.

Local Area

Camping les Biches lies a mile inland from St Hilaire-de-Riez and three miles north of the village of St Gilles, both offer a choice of bars, restaurants and shops. A three mile drive will take you to the clean and sandy beach at Sion-sur-l�Ocean where children will adore exploring the rocky coves and rock pools. This is a good spot for swimming and has a sailing school.

The safari park of Plan�te Sauvage, between Nantes and Pornic, is a fantastic day out for children. The park has over 2000 animals from five continents at its 'Piste Safari� and the Marine Centre has spectacular dolphin and seal shows. For a faster pace take to battle with a game of paintball in St Jean-de-Monts.
